Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer // Lucy & Alex
The Abbeywood Estate near Delamere in Cheshire is one of my favourite wedding venues. Set in gorgeous homely gardens, it is filled with lovely backdrops and secret vistas. Lucy and Alex chose Abbeywood as they wanted to be able to have an outdoor ceremony and it was the perfect choice. The venue has a wonderful intimate vibe, very elegant and complete with it’s own stunning glass house, it is the stuff of botanical dreams.
Lucy and Alex wanted their day to be relaxed, full of personal touches and fun! They chose early summer to have the very best chance of being able to have their ceremony outdoors in the gardens at Abbeywood. They could not have picked a better day, it was beautiful.
The garden inspiration led from outside in, everywhere decorated with stunning foliage and white blooms, elegant simple touches. The whole feel was so sophisticated, like something from the secret garden;
We love our garden, growing our own food and we wanted to bring that out in the style of our wedding. Flowers and greenery were a must have and having the ability to bring the outside in made Abbeywood the perfect choice. We wanted our family and friends to feel relaxed and that really showed as you walked around on the day, as people grouped playing the lawn games or sat on a little bench in the gardens. We had such perfect weather which we definitely hadn’t banked on but it was so beautiful and made the moment of walking down the aisle even more magical.
Every moment of the day was perfect, the most emotional part of the day was having Katie and Oliver (Lucy’s Niece and Nephew) doing the reading, they were perfect and it just made the day even more personal.
They discovered me online and loved the natural photography style that I like to capture;
The perfect moments, the love and happiness of the photography from the day was what drew us to Jess. The whole day was so relaxed and the photo’s felt natural and fun, Jess really captured the natural moments and these have got to be some of our favourite images overall. Everyone at the wedding has commented on how Jess made them just feel at ease.
I just can’t thank Jess enough for the whole day it was even more magical knowing that every moment was captured and that looking back through the photo’s allowed us to see the enjoyment of our guests when we were busy elsewhere. I will be recommending her to everyone I know. Thank you Jess!
