Buddileigh Farm Cheshire // Laura & Jonny

I’d never even heard of Buddileigh Farm before I photographed Laura and Jonny’s wedding but my goodness it’s a hidden gem! With only 9 weddings each year it’s something of an exclusive venue and Laura and Jonny managed to bag it on the perfect summer’s day in August.

Laura and Jonny had gone for my two photographers package and Lucy my second shooter was there to capture Jonny’s delight as an immaculate, pistachio green, vintage VW Camper turned up to pick him up, secretly organised as a surprise by Laura. He was over the moon and after a quick photo by his mum’s favourite tree 😉 Jonny and his family piled in to make the journey to Buddileigh Farm where Laura was getting ready in their onsite cottage along with her mum and bridesmaids.

The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony by the lake and Jonny looked besotted as Laura made her way down the aisle with her mum to Kodaline’s “The One.”

The beautiful grounds provided so many options for couple’s portraits and we made our way from the lake to the tree lined driveway and back to the VW camper before Jonny and Laura were taken for a drive in the iconic machine. Jonny was just as giddy the second time round and they returned giggling and beaming with smiles.

Despite the gazebo blowing away and a rogue marquee flap knocking the top tier off the cake (luckily we were on hand to peg and salvage!) the marquee looked amazing and the record centrepieces fitted Laura and Jonny’s passion for music perfectly.

After hilarious and heartfelt speeches it was time for the first dance to the Arctic Monkey’s “Baby I’m yours”. Laura’s grandad threw some shapes on the dancefloor and before long everyone was up there boogying down with him to some of Laura and Jonny’s favourite songs.

We had such a good time with Laura and Jonny at their Buddilegh Farm Wedding and we’re not at all jealous of their Santorini honeymoon. Any room for two more in your suitcase?
