Caswell House Oxfordshire // Valerie & Aden

Valerie and Aden flew all the way over from Texas for their springtime outdoor wedding at Caswell House in the beautiful Cotswolds. Of course, traveling from so far meant they made the most of their time with their friends and family (Aden’s family are English) with a three day weekend celebration and their fun, relaxed wedding was a roaring success. The English weather came through for us and it was lovely and sunny, meaning their outdoor ceremony in the flower filled courtyard of Caswell House was just perfect.

Aden and Valerie had picked their favourites of everything, from the gorgeous, pink, peach and succulent filled bouquets to writing their own ceremony to reflect their relationship (even if Valerie did call Aden her wife!) so it really was a very special and personal day for them.

Their wedding was just perfect for my relaxed, laid back style of photography and we managed to catch the setting spring sun for some amazing golden hour couple’s portraits by the little lake. I also loved traveling to the Cotswolds, with most of my weddings normally set in the Cheshire countryside (which I love!)  it was lovely to be introduced to a new venue in a different part of the country.

The wedding breakfast and speeches were set in the barn which looked really lovely, decked out in fairy lights and simple but elegant table decorations incorporating those pinks and peaches again. Aden and Valerie then did their first dance to “Earth Angels” by The Penguins before everyone got on the dancefloor for a boogie. The beautiful weather also meant that guests could stay outside to enjoy the spring evening with Aden and Valerie. The perfect ending to a perfect, personal day.
