Helen & Ste are friends of mine, when they got married didn’t have a wedding photographer so what a perfect excuse for them to be my real couple on a styled shoot I planned! The shoot took place on a 1st March which turned out to be a sunny spring day, we headed out to the beautiful North Wales Falls, Castle and Forest.
A lot of planning goes into a styled shoot, recently I attended Amy Faith’s Styled Shoot workshop so I needed to put into practice what I had learnt!
The theme of the day was relaxed, creams, golds, feathers and thistles. My shooting style is relaxed and informal to create natural images and here are a small selection from the day.
“Jess, I have finally just found time to look at the photos. They are amazing!! Some had me feeling emotional and some had me in fits of laughter! Not many people get our relationship but you managed to capture one shot in particular that sums us up perfectly. Ste is normally really shy and doesn’t photograph well (think Chandler from friends) which means that after ten years together, we hardly have any photos of us! I was a bit worried about how well it would go but I needn’t have as we ended up really enjoying it and this really shows in the photos. To get photos like this of someone that hates the camera so much as Ste does, shows just how much of an amazing talent you are. Thank you for a brilliant day and more importantly for the beautiful images, I can’t tell you how pleased I am with them. So excited for the mini shoot now!”
