Colshaw Hall Cheshire Wedding // Hannah & Steve

On a beautiful day in August, I headed over to Colshaw Hall, an amazing Tudor style manor in the Cheshire countryside to capture the wedding of Hannah and Steve.

Hannah said…

“As soon as we booked the venue I followed them on Instagram and looked at all the pictures many photographers had tagged Colshaw Hall in and I came across you, nothing was too staged, it was nice and relaxed and when I then went to your website I could see just how much fun the couples and guests were having and how you captured everything not just the group photos.”

Steve popped the question in the most romantic way to Hannah (New Years Eve!) on The Palace Green in Durham, minutes before midnight so their wedding had a lot to live up to in the romantic stakes. It definitely didn’t disappoint. Colshaw Hall only needed a few touches to make it look even more stunning and Hannah and Steve nailed it with pale pinks, white and a touch of gold, picked out in the flowers, cake and table decorations. It looked absolutely gorgeous and so elegant.

The bridesmaids wore pale pink dresses that suited the theme of the wedding perfectly and complimented Hannah’s striking strapless, sweetheart neckline dress to a T. The ceremony was one of my favourite bits of this wedding, it took place in Colshaw Hall’s ‘The Stables’ which has the most gorgeous light. Hannah and Steve laughed and smiled their way through it despite Steve accidentally calling her by her middle name! (Well if you have four names what do you expect of a nervous groom!)

The ceremony was so relaxed and we took a wander through the grounds afterwards to get some couples pictures whilst the guests tucked into some tasty looking canapes, taking full advantage of the nice weather in the gardens. Then it was onwards to the Peel suite for the wedding breakfast, speeches, cutting of the cake and of course the first dance. Ed Sheeran’s ‘Tenerife Sea’ played as they made their way out for their first dance as a married couple and then it wasn’t long before the shots came out and there was lots of boogying on the dancefloor. We ended the night with a sparkler exit which was the perfect ending to a perfect day. Thank you to everyone at Colshaw hall and all the other amazing suppliers that helped make Hannah and Steve’s day so lovely.
