Cranage Hall // Chloe & Joe
Third time lucky! Chloe and Joe finally got to tie the knot after two pandemic postponements and the tragic loss of Joe’s brother Tom who was in their hearts throughout their special day. These two have been together forever and met in 6th form so it was lovely to see them get married first in Church and then celebrate with their friends and family at the beautiful Cranage Hall, tucked away in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire. I love Cranage Hall with its huge gardens and amazing architecture, there were lots of incredible spots to take pictures in and around the grade II listed building.
Joe and his groomsmen looked extremely dapper in their suits and bow ties and Chloe and her bridesmaids looked utterly beautiful, Chloe in a flower embroidered dress with a gypsophila and rose bouquet as she walked down the aisle of the light, bright church. There was a hairy moment when Joe offered the wrong hand for his wedding ring but Father Peter made them feel at ease with a joke and it became a memorable moment on their perfect day. A vintage car chauffeured our just married couple to the reception venue Cranage Hall and I was able to get some stunning portraits around in the grounds before we went inside to see the beautifully decorated wedding breakfast room, all decked out in classic neutrals and whites with a gorgeous cake in pinks and creams from Steph Morrison Cakes.
There were of course speeches and then a party not just to celebrate but to remember those that couldn’t be with us. An incredible day filled with happiness and emotion and a great team of suppliers including my favourites Lucinka Hodnett and my second shooter Lou who I can always rely on to get amazing shots.
Although it wasn’t exactly like you originally planned I know you had the best day Joe and Chloe and I can’t wait for the birth of baby Gibney in the new year! Congratulations guys!
