Delamere Manor – Sian & Luis’ luxury Cheshire wedding mansion

Once famous for being the home of Gary Barlow – one of Cheshire’s most well known residents – Delamere Manor has, over the last few years, been making a name for itself as one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Cheshire.

Set amidst 100 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside, Delamere Manor is the perfect spot for a romantic wedding celebration. It boasts a huge lake (covering six acres!) as well as woodland, rolling fields and a stunning terrace and lawn area.

Why you chose the date of wedding (did it have any meaning?)

We hoped for nice weather! The date wasn’t special – but now it is.

Anything about how you met/proposal story

We were together in high school and then went our separate ways after this. Nine years later, we reconnected and it felt like it was just always meant to be!
The night Luis proposed, he took me to a meal at the restaurant we had our first date in after being apart all those years. When we got back home, a candlelit proposal was set up in our kitchen and it was so private and personal to us which I loved.
It also meant we got to include our new puppy in our proposal picture!

Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day

We very much liked the “classic romantic” look – fresh white roses, greenery, black tuxes and the beautiful cheshire countryside! We wanted a photographer that could encapsulate the style we wanted without having “forced” looking photographs in order to achieve the look.
Jess was great because she understood completely and she would make great suggestions for picture locations.
We felt incredibly comfortable in all of our photos, especially our bride/groom shots. This definitely does show and is one of the reasons we love them so much!

Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day

Luis surprised our guests in his speech by formally introducing them to a guest that had been there all day and they didn’t know about – our baby!
We found out we were expecting two months before the wedding and thought it was the perfect time to share our lovely news with our close family and friends. They were all overjoyed and even some of the venue staff cried and congratulated us after the meal!

How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day

I was feeling quite overwhelmed trying to figure out what photographer we wanted and if we were making the right choices for a few weeks but I found Jess’ instagram page and it was an instant winner for me. It felt more unique and personal than the other photographer’s that I had looked at and when I visited Jess’ website, her introduction page solidified that she was the right photographer.
Jess was actually the first supplier I booked after securing our venue – just shy of two years before the big day!

Any advice for couples planning their wedding?

Make a wedding spreadsheet and log everything! It was my bible!

Are you going on a honeymoon?

Due to Baby M making an appearance in just a few month’s time, we have decided on the south of Spain in summer.
We are very excited to get abroad and relax on a beach for a joint honeymoon/babymoon!

Anything else….

Our puppy that was involved in our proposal pictures made a guest appearance at our wedding too!
Much to my surprise, Luis organised for him to be brought to the venue to see us and our guests – he looked very handsome in his little tuxedo.
Jess took some adorable photos of us with him and my very emotional reaction to his arrival!
