Forest Photographer // Theo & Effie

Forest photographer in Cheshire. I first met little Effie when she was just a few weeks old and now she’s nearly one, so it was lovely to see how much she’s grown! I can’t believe how little she was when I last had her in my arms. Effie and Theo’s mum Lucy is one of my regular second shooters (you may even recognise her from your wedding!) so it was great to get her in front of the camera for once with her two gorgeous babes.

We wandered through Delamere forest, looking for the deeps hues of autumn which have turned from bright yellows and oranges to beautiful intense reddy browns and ochres making up tales of adventure to keep 5 year old Theo interested.

I loved seeing the kids playing with each other and I got some lovely shots of the two of them together. I even managed to catch a little kiss that Theo planted on his little sister’s head before Effie was back in the mud and picking the bark off the logs!

“Jess was absolutely brilliant with the kids, Theo had brought along his own bright pink umbrella and just wouldn’t put it down but Jess made him believe it was a fairies tickling stick so he’d leave it out of shot. It worked perfectly and we had so much fun leaving the tickling stick in various places. I’m absolutely in love with the images, she’s captured so many beautiful moments of us all together which I don’t normally get being the one behind the camera. I’m so grateful to Jess that she’s captured this stage in my babies lives and I can’t wait to give them to absolutely everyone as presents. That’s Christmas this year sorted!”
