Grosvenor Pulford Chester // Andrew & Jamie
Andrew and Jamie were married this Easter at the Grosvenor Pulford in Chester. They wanted a day that was authentically them, romantic and celebrated their mutual love of music. It was a totally brilliant wedding and Andrew and Jamie both made me feel so welcome and part of the day. A wonderfully emotional and moving celebration of the love of two crazily awesome people!
I know Andrew’s sister and it’s always so lovely to get a personal recommendation;
After seeing some of Jess’s photos we thought she would be just what we wanted for our day at the Grosvenor Pulford. We love our photos – they are beyond amazing and tell the story of our day perfectly.
Jamie and Andrew met on a cold February night in 2011 in what Andrew likes to class as a “Digital Fairy Tale”!
I was in a fine drinking establishment in Leeds with a friend and Jamie was over the road in yet another drinking establishment! Jamie had recently “checked in” on Facebook, which seven years ago was the new fan-dangled thing to do and a mutual friend had seen Jamie was there and invited him over to come for a drink with us. We instantly hit it off and (when our now favourite song came on) we danced together, putting out finest Steps and S club 7 moves to the test, we knew then this was for keeps.
Andrew planned a really romantic proposal, popping the question on their 1999th day together while on holiday in Portugal in 2016;
I had picked the day to propose and planned everything, champagne on the balcony at sunset, flowers, heart shaped balloons, 200 candles and Jamie’s favourite song playing. We went out to the balcony with the stars sparkling and Jamie and I both wept as he said yes.
Andrew and Jamie chose the Grosvenor Pulford in Chester for their celebrations, with they huge love of music as the inspiration;
On the night we met we both said our favourite colour was blue – so that had to be the main colour for the day. Another mutual love was music, so much of the day centered around that.
We found the whole day quite emotional! Jamie and I wrote our own vows to each other which really meant a lot. When I said Jamie was the “S Club to my 7” that seemed to make everyone stop crying and laugh! One of our favourite parts of the day was actually the photos. After the crazy hour of ceremony and group shots for it to just be Jamie and I it was bliss. You and James made us so at ease and made us laugh so much, we actually loved our photo shoots!
Jess Yarwood made our day! We honestly couldn’t thank you enough for everything. You and James were amazing. Most people said to us that the barely noticed we had a photographer, which I think is an amazing sign of how good you were. We also noticed how the majority of photos are not posed, you and James caught the story and feeling of the day perfectly. The photos, well they just surpass everything, they are unbelievable and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives together.
Thank you so much to Andrew and Jamie for their kind words, it was a total pleasure to capture their day at the Grosvenor Pulford.
