Italy Wedding Photography //Jenny & Adam
One of the many things that I love about my job as a wedding photographer is the amazing places it takes me (and this time my husband too, who shot some film). A destination wedding is one of the best things, travelling on adventures with my couples, is just such a privilege. I am so grateful that wedding planner Julie at ‘My Secret Italy’ recommended me to lovely Jenny & Bazz for their destination wedding by the coast in stunning Italy;
After meeting you for the first time, we knew straight away that you were the right photographer for us. You were bubbly and very easy to talk to which we felt was very important. Especially as we aren’t the most comfortable people in front of a camera.
The setting was incredible, winding streets lined with white washed walls, tumbling florals and pristine blue skies and sea, just the perfect Italian wedding day. Italian weddings are always so romantic, I totally adore the place and Jenny and Bazz’s day was breathtaking.
There was a drop of rain on the day and for some reason it just made it all the more special because of it. They still held their ceremony outside under the warm rain and brollies. It seemed that all the wedding suppliers and guests were even more determined to have an incredible time thanks to the rain and make it wonderful for Jenny and Bazz and their gorgeous daughter Lexi.
Jenny and Bazz (aka Adam) first met at Halloween, both dressed as zombies! Jenny said Bazz caught her eye because he looked like a member of One Direction! Romance blossomed and on the hottest day of 2016 Bazz took Jenny for a walk up Moel Famau where he proposed at the fort on top of the mountain.
Jenny loves anything boho! She really wanted that relaxed feel for their destination wedding. Having chosen a truly gorgeous and vibrant coastal town for their Italian wedding day, the setting then inspired the colours and decor for the day;
I loved the idea of using colours from the beautiful surroundings, especially because we were right on the beach – blues and greens from the sea, pinks from the flowers and the setting sun. I wanted to bring the outdoors in, with lots of fairy lights and tea lights, flowers and shells. I wanted the day to reflect us as a couple – relaxed, vibrant and very happy!
Their day was filled with beautiful memorable and emotional moments; when they saw each other for the first time, when Lexi walked down the aisle with a sign saying ‘daddy, here comes mummy’. (not a dry eye in the place!) and the band introducing them and their entrance to ‘sweet child of mine’. The guitar and mandolin players were absolutely awesome and such a lovely vibe!
Bazz and his best man singing ‘guy love’ was hilarious and the speeches by our best man, maid of honours and father of bride, were so funny too. But the moments we had together, just the two or three (Lexi) of us, like in the car to sign the papers were so emotional and a beautiful moment we treasure.
Julie, wedding planner at My Secret Italy, recommended me to Jenny and Bazz;
We loved your work from the start, but your photos from Italy were even more beautiful than we could have imagined, the colours were stunning and we loved how organic and natural the images were. Exactly how I imagined our wedding photos but more! Thank you both so so much! You are a lovely couple and made us feel very relaxed on the day. The videography was an amazing surprise which we are eternally grateful for! You both clearly work as an amazing team, far better than having a separate photographer and videographer!
Huge congratulations to Jenny and Bazz, I absolutely adored photographing your joyous, raucous, beautiful italian wedding day!
