Kings Acre Chester Wedding // Freya & Dan
Kings acre wedding venue in Cheshire. Freya and Dan had a beautiful, colourful and fun filled Cheshire wedding day. A stunning ceremony at Chester Town Hall, followed by a foliage, flower adorned marquee reception at King’s Acre. The venue is really unique and just happens to be at Freya’s home! Freya and Dan’s wedding was a highlight for me this summer, I love a wedding where everyone gets really involved and totally up for the day! From the guard of honour at the wedding and the guests surprise dance routines to the crazy boating antics on the lake (which ended far better than they rightly deserved too!), it was a brilliant day.
Freya and Dan had put so much time and love into creating their lovely cheshire wedding day that was not only a reflection of them but that was also just so visually epic too. So many beautiful touches, everywhere you looked.
They first met at a friend’s house party and one date later were inseparable! A few years later, on New Year’s Eve 2016, Dan proposed. He had it all planned, a romantic walk to his favourite spot in his home town in Yorkshire;
Unfortunately Dan hadn’t counted on his brother and Girlfriend tagging along for what they thought was just a Christmas walk! It meant we had a ready photographer and someone to celebrate with which was amazing. It’s been a whirlwind since then.
I was recommended to them by friends who had met me and seen my work;
You had done one of their wedding events and they reckoned you were one of the best. Once we saw your work online I was instantly in love with your style and dropped you an email as soon as possible! We were both so excited when we found out you were free on our date! Thank you for being so amazing on the day!
Freya had a vision for their Cheshire wedding day, she knew she wanted lots of greenery and to be all about the flowers and have a floral chandelier;
It went so far beyond my aspirations, everyone seemed to have such an amazing day and it looked just like I had dreamed only better! And Dans mum took the chandelier way beyond anything I could have imagined it was beautiful! Dan had three things he wanted to achieve, good food, good booze and good music. He was pretty pleased with his success!
The day was full of emotional moments, for Freya it was reading the letter Dan had written her for the morning. For Dan it was watching Freya say her vows and keeping it together!
THE DANCE!!!! Was probably the most memorable moment!
Being surprised by Freya’s closest friends and family secretly going for dance lessons and then doing a full routine to one of the songs from my favourite movie the Greatest Showman! It was such a surprise and we were both blown away by it!
Massive congratulations to Dan and Freya, what a day! I was so happy to be able to capture it for you
with love
