Lake District // Carey & Martin

A pleasure to be asked to The Lake District to capture Carey & Martin’s romantic day at The Lindeth Howe – a former home for Beatrix Potter. A small and intimate wedding with their favourite people, I was so pleased the weather was on their site and even had golden hour in February!

With some of the most picturesque and romantic surrounding scenery in the country, it really is no surprise that people come from far and wide to tie the knot in the Lake District. Just a short walk from the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, Lindeth Howe Hotel is the perfect backdrop for an intimate Lake District wedding.

Steeped in literary history, Lindeth Howe itself was once home to English writer Beatrix Potter. Today, we’re home to award-winning cuisine, breath-taking views, tranquil gardens, a relaxed yet elegant lounge area, and a new, exquisitely designed wedding suite – the perfect setting for your wedding day.

At Lindeth Howe, we are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, as well as hosting your wedding reception, so you can relax in the knowledge you and your guests will be fully catered for, throughout your perfect day. You can choose to hold your wedding ceremony in one of our beautifully appointed reception rooms. Catering is available for 2 – 80 guests making Lindeth Howe perfect for those looking to accommodate their nearest and dearest.

Are you going on a honeymoon
Honeymoon to Japan has been cancelled thanks to covid. We might do an anniversary trip somewhere but with a little one it’s likely not going to be anywhere near as far. We are heading to Prague and Vienna for a short getaway though.
