Merrydale Manor Cheshire // Lauren & Scott
Lauren and Scott have the most amazing engagement story and I could tell not just from the engagement story (I’ll tell you that in a moment) but from how they were with each other on the day of their wedding at Merrydale Manor in June this year, that they were made for each other.
They got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2016 whilst on holiday in New York.
Lauren said…
“We had lunch then headed to Central Park and whilst walking around, a caption on a bench caught my eye. The caption read…
‘and she will one day say yes’,
after I took a photo of it, I turned around to find Scott down on one knee. I had stumbled on a bench that Scott had seen on Instagram and was looking for to propose in front of. It wasn’t by chance that Scott had led me on that particular route. He had created a thread on Trip Advisor months earlier in order to locate the bench amongst the 10,000 benches there are in Central Park.
The response to the thread was unbelievable, and a man called Jim from Atlanta had located its position and sent Scott the details. So thank you Jim!!
I, of course, said yes and the afternoon was spent drinking champagne before a celebration at Tao in the evening.”
What an incredible story!
Lauren and Scott’s wedding was absolutely beautiful, they’d filled Merrydale Manor with gorgeous flowers of blush and cream, which picked out the blush detail in Lauren’s Mori Lee fishtail dress and complemented the rose gold sequined bridesmaids dresses perfectly. Scott wore top hat and tails and they made the most perfect couple on the day.
Lauren had put in so much effort to the styling and theme of the day and all her hard work had definitely paid off. I loved the flower wall behind the top table and Merrydale Manor’s lake was the perfect place for some romantic portraits. All in all a beautiful, elegant day filled with magic and emotion.
After the wedding Lauren and Scott headed to the west coast of America for a 3 week honeymoon tour, bringing back with them an extra passenger! Congratulations guys! I can’t wait to meet baby Fullwood in 2019!
