Nunsmere Hall // Chris & Rhiannon

Nunsmere Hall wedding for Chris & Rhiannon

Describe your wedding in three words

Amazing, Perfect, Hot

Why you chose the date of wedding (did it have any meaning?)

We were originally going to go with the 13th of June, however our best man would be in his exam season and Jess wouldn’t be available so we went with the closest Saturday instead

Anything about how you met/proposal story

We met before we realised we met at around 10/11 years old at the same brass band for a month or two. We then officially met when we started at the same sixth form college as each other. Having noticed each other at the bus stop we eventually started talking and the rest is history.

Chris proposed on a weekend trip to London, when we got to the hotel, he got down on one knee, I knocked the ring out of the box, across the room and then picked it up and put it on my own finger (oops!)

Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day

The original inspiration for the whole colour scheme of the wedding was decided from a picture of a cake I’d seen before we had chosen a venue. The navy and gold theme styled most of the outfits and features, with a few little touches here and there that meant a lot to us for personal reasons.

Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day

Emotional moment of the day was definitely the ceremony, I’m very very surprised neither of us cried. I spent most of the ceremony shaking like a leaf!

The memorable/funny and very unexpected moment of the day was definitely me changing into jeans, a t shirt and denim jacket. Was it planned? No. Did everyone seem to love it? Absolutely.

How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day

We googled Cheshire wedding photographer and Jess popped up. Looking through the style of photography and Jess’ bio we couldn’t see anyone else photographing our wedding. After our engagement shoot, we knew instantly that we’d made the right choice, so many beautiful pictures without either of us realising we’d actually had that many taken.

Wedding song?

Processional – I Guess I’m in Love, Clinton Kane Recessional – Accidentally in Love, Counting Crows First Dance – If I Didn’t Have You, Billy Crystal & John Goodman

Any advice for couples planning their wedding?

Enjoy all of the planning, stick together and go with what you want, not what you think other people want

Are you going on a honeymoon?

We are! 2 in fact.

We are going on a Mediterranean cruise for a week and then to New York City later on in the year.

Anything else….

A big big thank you to Chris and Jess, what an amazing team the two of you make. We couldn’t have asked for better.
