Oddfellows Chester Photography // Sam & Sam

This pair of Sam’s got married in Oddfellows Chester and although it rained during the ceremony, the rain eased off and the sun came out just in time so we could nip outside for some beautiful photos of the happy couple. Oddfellows is a great hotel set in the historic Roman town of Chester with an outdoor terrace close to the river. Sam and Sam’s wedding was lovely and low key and Oddfellows was the perfect place for it.

There were lots of individual touches, with a home-made cake made by Sam’s mum covered in flowers grown in the garden and the tables were adorned with sprigs of lavender and lots of lovely flowers and foliage expertly arranged in gin bottles (I do love a bit of gin). The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in mint green and Sam’s beaded, sheer backed dress fitted perfectly with the opulent décor of the quirky hotel. Groom Sam’s favourite moment was glimpsing bride Sam (this could get confusing!) as she stepped down the aisle with her Dad.

The whole day was beautifully relaxed and I was able to capture some great family moments in keeping with my happy, calm style. Another favourite moment of the day was the best man’s speech which had the crowd laughing as he joked with bride Sam about her engagement ring.

Sam and Sam are heading off to Italy for their honeymoon, which is fitting because it’s where Sam originally proposed. Thank you for having me at your wedding at Oddfellows, I wish you all the happiness in the world for your married life and of course an amazing time in the Italian sun!
