Palm House Sefton Park // Maisie & Matt

Sefton Palm House, what a wedding venue! I just loved it and I just loved the wedding Maisie and Matt put on to celebrate their big day with their nearest and dearest family and friends.

Maisie had a ball getting ready with her maids, all in trendy candy-striped gowns. The bridesmaids and flower girls then stylishly all dressed in white to match the bride and accompanied her to the church where Matt and Maisie were married by one of Maisie’s dad’s friends Father Sean the priest.

A gospel choir sang ‘Bridge over troubled water’ beautifully and once they were married the happy couple then headed to Sefton Palm House for the party. Which was quite the party!

The tropical Palm House, full of weird and wonderful plants was the perfect place for this chilled couple who were right up my street and steered away from any posed pictures, which was lovely and fitted in perfectly with my relaxed style of wedding photography. The Palm House lent itself brilliantly to the live music Maisie and Matt wanted to fill their wedding with and they were soon up dancing along with their guests to the incredible Anna Corcoran on the piano and vocals before they even sat down to eat!

Their first dance (chosen 20 minutes before they did it, I love these guys!) was a tricky one to dance to, Ed Sheeran ft Andrea Bocelli – Perfect Symphony but they managed with help from their parents and some of my favourite pictures from the day are these two surrounded by their friends and family dancing under a shower of gold confetti. The wine flowed, the music played and this laid-back couple in love had the best day in the Palm House. Thanks for having me Maisie and Matt! What a brilliant day!

REVIEW
“We had Jess as our photographer for our wedding last summer in the Palm House in Liverpool. Jess was just brilliant from start to finish, she was thorough and well organised but never felt bossy or that she imposed on the day. Myself and my husband both decided we wanted Jess to just capture what was happening in the day, and we never felt like we were being directed or dragged away from the fun to stand and pose. I forgot that Jess was there for most of the time then looked through our pictures to realise that she had captured everything beautifully. Some of the pictures are honestly gorgeous, not just of us, but of our niece and nephews, friends laughing, dancing in the glitter confetti after the first dance or sharing a hug as the sun set – she captured everything and and gave us photos we will love for life. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Jess, she’s a lovely person who is brilliant at her job.”
