Portmeirion wedding North Wales // Yoshe & Rob
I received a call from Yoshe, asking me to be her wedding photographer….. which would be happening in the next few weeks! They hadn’t been let down by another photographer, just their relaxed ways they decied to marry at Portmeiron whilst on a family holiday! Portmeiron in North Wales is a special place in their heart, Yoshe’s grandfather was the gardner there many years ago and so they made alot of visits when she was younger.
The morning arrived and whilst I was driving to the holiday home I was praying that the rain would go….. it didn’t! They all got ready together in the morning with children Zeva & Erika… such an un-traditional thing to do but I LOVED it and so nice to be able to capture everyone together. The men went for a swim…. (i wasnt going to follow them!) and the girls drank prosecco and got ready.
the ceremony took place in a local registry office and then it was off to Portmeirion, such a beautiful vibrant, quirky little village…boasting beautiful gardens and colour!
Yoshe’s mum bought confetti cannon’s…. (she tested the out before giving them them to everyone…check out the picture!!) so it made for a great group shot! Myself, Yoshe & Rob then went on a wander throughout the village.
We had a few dry spells and then just as we were heading back it threw it down…we were drenched! I’m so glad Yoshe embraced the weather for the images.
Back to the Portmeirion hotel for cake cutting, bouquet toss and speeches.
