Rookery Hall is a stunning Cheshire country house wedding venue with rollling views over Nantwich, no surpise why Gemma & Ross chose this luxury location.
Gemma & Ross described their wedding as Sunny, flawless & happy and it truly was. From the moment of meeting them at the Badger in Chuch Minshull for a pint I knew their day would be really relaxed and family orintated. Gemma is also a talented Artist and drew the front of Rookery for their invitations, we re-created this on their wedding day with them in it – she also has a creative flair!
The morning of the wedding was relaxed and becuase all in one place I managed to nip down to see Ross & the boys having pre wedding drinks with all of their guests.
Why you chose the date of wedding (did it have any meaning)
Seemed like a good time to avoid a covid disaster
How did you meet/Proposal
We met at work after I was made redundant from a previous job, 8 years later Ross proposed in Rhodes on a walk led by a goat! I was also pregnant with our little girl Liv 🙂
Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day
We just wanted a chilled relaxed day without too much fuss and most importantly we wanted the children to have fun!
Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day
Our little son Loris holding my dress up at the end of our first dance, loved by everyone!
How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day
We were guests at a friends wedding you shot, we heard nothing but good things and really loved the photos you took that day. Easiest decision we made.
Are you going on honeymoon
We went on holiday as a family to Majorca one day after the wedding! Amazing week away

The whole process was clear and easy and didn’t add any stress at all to the planning. We met up a few weeks before and Jess showed us some of her previous work and answered any questions we had.
