The Plough Inn Eaton // Josie & Luke

The Plough Inn, Eaton is where Josie & Luke chose to get married at have their twilight ceremony & celebration. Located in the rural hamlet of Eaton in Cheshire, the Plough is a half timbered and half cheshire bricked Inn dating back 400 years. I met with Josie & Luke at the venue ahead of the civil ceremony working alonside Danny from Lavalette Productions. The day had a really relaxed feel and lovely flow, all their family & friends made me feel so welcome.
The day after the wedding Josie, Luke & Violet put their wedding attire back on and we headed to the woods for some family portraits becuase it was this section they missed out on with the wedding being at 4pm in November.

How did you meet?

We met nearly 7 years ago and within that same year we had moved in together. We got engaged in Venice and the following year had our baby Violet. We are so glad she got to be part of our special day.

Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day

We wanted a relaxed day, small but not tiny, closest friends and family with a not so traditional feel to it. We chose The Plough because we thought the venue was beautiful, the size was perfect and in all honestly Luke loved the sausage roll canapés haha! That’s what sold it to him!

Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day

Most memorable – sparkler photo for the pure fact that I shouted at all my guests!
Emotional – seeing violet run to her daddy.
Funny – Confetti went in my mouth during the photos (note to future wive’s- keep mouth closed)

How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day

I had seen your work and your name many times as my best friend is a wedding hairdresser and has worked along side you. I had also seen lots of friends have family shoots that were just beautiful. The style of photography is fabulous and even more so for this time of year. I am not very posy and prefer the more relaxed look in photographs.

Are you going on honeymoon

We are heading off to York for a few days for a mini moon and plan on going somewhere special next year as a family.
